Overview
The process
How a clinical study unfolds, and where Trialuma fits in (just the reading part).
- 01
Find what exists
Public registries like ClinicalTrials.gov list studies. Reading a listing is free and commits you to nothing.
- 02
Talk to your own doctor
They know your history, and can tell you whether a study might be reasonable for you.
- 03
Screening
The study team checks eligibility with questions and tests. You can stop here.
- 04
Informed consent
You get a full explanation, time to think, and a copy of what you sign.
- 05
Taking part
Visits and tests follow the written plan. You can ask questions at every one.
- 06
Follow-up and results
Some studies check in after your last visit. Many share results publicly.
When you use Trialuma
- Read any briefing, with no sign-up.
- Ask for the briefings by email, and optionally by text, with a switch that starts off.
- Reply STOP to any text, or email [email protected], to stop messages.
What never happens
- No calls to sell you anything, and no quotes.
- No sharing of your details with sponsors, sites, or other partners.
- No enrolling you in a study. Only a study team can do that, with your consent.
A note on medical questions
Trialuma is not a medical provider. We cannot tell you whether a study is right for you or answer questions about your own health. Talk with your doctor. If it is an emergency, call 911.
